The beauty of the place changes constantly depending on the season, time of day and the light, giving it a magical quality. At the end of a 1.2 mile track through Hopton Woods, you will reach the main drive where there is an avenue of copper maples with elevated views over the surrounding countryside.

The Estate is a walker’s paradise. There are beautiful footpaths on the estate and beyond this there are footpaths from the estate that lead to either Hopton Woods or Bucknell Woods, both owned by the Forestry Commission.

Due to the peace and tranquillity there is an abundance of wild life & birds. The huge variety of daffodils in March, and the carpets of bluebells and wild flowers in the Spring, are not to be missed. These combined with the spectacular Autumn colours in the woodland make Great Hagley a wonderful destination at any time of the year.
