At the end of the drive sits Hopton Woods, boasting some of the UKโs most exciting Mountain biking trails. Home to the Pearce XC Loop as well as some outstanding downhill tracks which commonly get used as a race venue.
All the trails at Hopton are largely unsurfaced so the way they ride changes according to the weather and the season.
Trails include a warm-up loop which is short and relatively easy, a blue trail 4.6km in length, the Pearce XC loop as-well as 3 black graded downhill trails.

Great Hagley is in the heart of some of the very finest walking country: the Welsh Marches which mark the border between England and Wales are an area of unforgettable and varied natural beauty, full of hills, valleys, castles and characterful villages.
On its doorstep you will find Offas Dyke, Bishops Castle, Caer Caradoc, the ancient Stiperstones, Wenlock Edge and the beautiful Long Mynd and Carding Mill Valley โ or choose to walk along the Llangollen Canal with its famous and dramatic viaducts.

Just a 20 minute drive from the house you will find the Ludlow Race Course. This is a great family racecourse, offering race meetings once every 3 weeks during the national hunt season and its right beside the Ludlow Food Centre, both are worth a visit.
